Much love for Apple

Ok, so their computers are based on free code and sell for outrageous amounts of money, wrapped in horrid white plastic, no games support (big deal to me…), their user interface is hideous (apart from when the icons bounce around… that amuses me), they force users to use their software to get their IPods to even turn on (and this really had me shouting WTF at my IPod) and their RAM garbage collection in their OS never seems to work. Their IPods may have sucked and offered absolutely no advantages over the normal, cheaper, easier, DRM-free mp3 players available… but damn, I love my IPod touch… You think I was excited when I heard about a Dexter game coming to the IPod? I shall never doubt my decision to buy an IPod touch ever again:

Need… Internet…

You don’t realise how much you need the internet until it goes away… In Bristol, I have no internet access in my new student flat and it’s driving me nuts… I realised all my organisation, contact details, calendars, documents etc… are all online… I’m no longer organised…

Alternatively… I’ve spent more time working on a mind-reading trick recently… which I guess has been useful as I’ve nearly perfected it…

On reflection… I really waste too much time on the internet… now, during the few precious moments I have online, I find it hard to know what to do…

Oh well… I guess a few days straight playing “Air Traffic Control” on the DS can’t be too bad…

Interactive Fiction

Having a crack at writing interactive fiction… first challenge is working out how to make it all work… here’s my first attempt at a test story (try and get out of the flat and into the corridor, extra brownie points if you find the invisibility cloak).
